If you are considering a move from IRP Commerce, start with what is yours: your customer, order, product and content data. Then work out what needs replacing. This article lists what to check first.
Advent is not affiliated with IRP Commerce Limited. The name is used only to describe the platform. IRP Commerce Limited is a Belfast-based ecommerce platform and service marketplace, formerly known as Export Technologies.
Check your contract first
Check your contract’s notice period and data export terms before planning a move, and take legal advice if unsure.
What data you want to keep
Customers, orders and products
IRP Commerce lets you export product and admin data as CSV files. Ask what else can be exported, in which formats and by when. Customers, orders, products, content and media are the usual list.
Reporting history
If you compare this year with last, plan how to keep your past figures. Export them in a form you can still read once the move is done.
URL history
Record every address on your store, so each can be redirected to its new home. This protects your search traffic.
What moves, and what gets replaced
| Area | What to think about |
|---|---|
| Analytics | Which reports you rely on, and how to rebuild them |
| Shopping feeds | Which channels you feed, and how to set them up again |
| Multichannel stock | How stock is shared across channels |
| Order and warehouse tools | What connects to what, and what replaces it |
| Carriers | Rates, labels and rules to set up again |
Plan the timing
Moves like this are usually larger than a typical store move. Agree your dates once you know what can be exported and when.
